I had this Customer come in and he wanted a loan but he was acting so weird I thought maybe he was on drugs, then when I told him that he didn't have the right documents for a loan he got upset and then he asked me to loan him 5. Dollars ...i was like,’ We don't have loans for five dollars" although I was being mean knowing he meant out of my pocket..
Well he kept on moving around a lot and moving his mouth a lot...then today he came in again but he's body seemed a little more relaxed. I just wouldn’t like to confuse Drugged out with maybe Parkinson’s or something.........

I'm sorry, I did not mean to offend anyone, but if he was on drugs i would probably lower the amount i would loan him just because he probably wont pay at some point, and that comes back to me when I have a return check from my store.

Parkinson's would not have anything to do with him wanting five dollars. You got one of two things on your hands:

1 - Addict
2 - Crazy

Believe me - you don't want or need to be dealing with either. Tell your manager the next time they come in. Someone needs to let them know that they are not welcome on the premises.

I know it sounds draconian - but you don't want or need to be dealing with this stuff.

First of.. He probably did NOT have Parkinson's..
That is usually a tremor and walking problem.... Not someone acting weird.

Secondly it sounds more like he had a psych problem.... Probably schizophrenic... talking to himself...
Just be careful ... and listen to your instincts...
If something seems off... then it probably is.

if he was moving around and constantly moving his mouth around a lot, he could have been on meth when he came in. Meth makes people want to constantly move like that...did he seem to have something different grab his attention every few seconds, or was he just fixated on one things the whole time?

He was on drugs, or coming off and had no cash for his next high. I think a hit of crack is only about $5, so you'd have never been repaid anyway.

does it make a difference? if a person is being inappropriate then you let them know without being rude. if they continue you call the cops. just because a person has a disability doesnt give them permission to act inappropriately. by the way i work with disabilities. and sometimes you cant tell and sometimes people with disabilities can be jerks too.

my guess is schizophrenia but drug use will mimic this at times,no real way to know without drug test.
