Set one of those Hav-a-Hart traps right under the tree, bait it with something squirrely. When I had a similar problem, fajita chips did the trick. Leave it overnight, and at some point in the morning you might have a squirrel in a box. Drive it to a park 5 miles away and release your problem over there, onto trees more suitable for nests.

Get a cat. But why? What's wrong with the squirrel living in a tree?

Go to the mall, and purchase a big red ribbon. Everyone knows that squirrels hate red! He will scurry right on out of there!

either your gonna have to kill it or tell your tree to stop weeping and blow its nose in the direction of the squirrel. maybe it'll knock it off its branches.

Lure it into a cage with peanut butter. Squirrels love peanut butter.
It's pretty weird, actually.

DON'T SHOOT IT!!! All you need to do is get some birdseed and scatter it around another tree close by, then it should follow and stay around the food!
