solve this question...another math and chemistry problem for me

sorry i read it wrong....and it took me this long 2 find it out.....x=5 and y=7..thats much better

If x=3 and y=5, then your first equation equals 57 and the second one equals 14. But that's just an example, x and y could equal anything.

Your avatar's name sort of implies that you are having problems coping with the world and are into wierd stuff.

4x+9y = 4x+9y...

what does your variables equal to? you can't combine unlike terms which are what those are...i'm guessing you're in beginning pre-algebra?
