You are correct my friend. It's not Bush who is moving jobs overseas. It's Walmart and others. And frankly, the only reason Walmart does it is because Joe Sixpack (the first to complain) wants cheaper lawn chairs, wife beater shirts and nose hair clippers.
If Americans were taught economics in school, they would understand and try to keep business in this country or even local. Walmart is destroying our economy (and keep in mind while you read my opinion that I'm about as far to the right of right wing that a man can be).
I was recently on a mission trip to Nicaragua and while there I saw a factory, owned by Koreans, that produces textiles. They bus people in at sunrise, then bus them home at sunset and pay them $2.00 a day. (Now here's where it gets complicated. That $2.00 a day is about double the national income average, so for the Nicaraguans, it's a good thing).
Anyway, those shirts are sold to us, through Walmart, for $20.00 or more each.
Ultimately, it's the CONSUMER that drives this behavior.
Bush isn't responsible and neither is Clinton.
But our Government could do more to protect us by placing restrictions on import / export. (I hate Government control, so I have a real problem with this, but with an uneducated populace, what is one to do?)
Americans are for the part to stupid now to understand the implications of their decisions.

The assertion Friday through President George W. Bush of an monetary stimulus kit, after months and years of pointing out that the US economic climate is “essentially sound,” indicates that the massive dimensions of the economic quandary have come to be obvious even to probably the most blinkered “loose marketplace” ideologues in Washington.

Bush had nothing to do with this, you can thank the Clinton administration for starting this trend when he introduced NAFTA, which was the stepping stone for what we have now. Liberal demoncraps hate to hear this tho.
