personally i think they are are being ungodly careless fools. sure its gods land but those arent gods people.just cause they are jews doesnt mean god favors they killing innocent people (god didnt give them a free pass to do as they please)...killing un people and civilians over 2 guys. that has happened to america but we didnt go and carelessly slaughter a whole city over it.not to mention israel asked for the more powerful bombs that america owed to it.israel is just creating more terrorists. hezbolla is helping the civilian people and now the us has stepped in to help to but i believe its only to prevent the favoring from civilians to terrorists, but the civies benefit from is anyways.

Israel should have given a little more thought about the collateral damage that is being inflicted. Hezbollah knew exactly what they were doing and as usual, Israel looks like the aggressor. I am a backer of Israel, but when the US told them to use restraint, they should have listened. Sometimes simple advice means everything.

It's horrid. Does our opinion counts and can it solve anything?
Ok. Here is what i think. Isreal is fighting a war against islamic rightist and there will be no end to this. The subscription to hezbollas is probably going over the roof after these "strikes" on civilians infrastructure and the government overall. In the end, this war will not end. There maybe a truce but at the down of all this, I DEEPLY believe, the islamic extremist will be victorious. You cannot be victorious in a "politically correct" war.

I think both sides have a legitimate complaint. I also agree with Israel when they say they are helping Lebanon by ridding them of Hezbollah. Although hezbollah do a lot of good things for their society, in the long run all the help they give people tends to create dependence. Just look at our Welfare system. Help is good up to a point but not by making people depend on you. Besides, Hezbollah has said they want all Jews dead. Live and let live!

Israel will win.

Lebanon is not innocent because they cultivated the existance of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that "hijacked" the democratic government of Lebanon, but as Lebanon grew in strength it did nothing to eliminate Hezbollah from its borders for political reasons, now both must pay the price. Such is the way of war.

Israel has the right to secure borders and has the right to use force if Lebanon refuses to capitulate.

It should never have happened.

I had been watching Lebanon thinking that things were gradually getting better; it was recovering from the damage inflicted on it by war and its neighbors. Now, in addition to the senseless loss of life, the country has been set back years.

As long as they keep making that delicious baloney, I don't care what happens. Just another conflict in the Middle East. What else is new? Those two have been fighting since I was a kid back in the Sixties.

It's sad. And the most DEPRESSING thing about it, is that it's just the latest chapter in a continuing saga of war that have gone on for centuries- and WILL go on for centuries, or until humankind realises that NOBODY OWNS land..-It's just ours to take care of while we're passing through this life...
