I believe there is undoubtedly life on other celestial bodies. The chances of making contact, however are slim.
I think the stumbling block for most when musing over this possibilty is that extraterrestrials are depicted, usually, in humanoid, or as up-right bi-pedal creatures planted wholesale in our collective psyche by the movie makers.
Assuming there is life on another body or planet, then it would have undoubtedly undergone evolution through the process of natural selection, the same as on earth.
But, consider this. If home to these beings has say, 21/2 times the gravity of earth, then the beings may be much smaller, or perhaps have multiple legs to support a larger frame.
Yeah, they are out there. But, even if we got their first communication via radio tomorrow, it would be millions and millions and millions of years to receive our reply, after have taken the same length of time to reach us. By the time the reply was received they may no longer exist, or maybe have evolved further with no knowledge of the original message ever having been sent.

This is hard to answer but theoretically we are NOT alone. Just remember this, the universe is infinite hence the possibilities that another planet that has the same life-enabled environment our planet has are also infinite... besides there might be life forms that can survive on environments that we cannot.
Now the possibilities that those other life forms contact us are very low considering that the nearest galaxy is Andromeda and it is 2 million light years away that means you will need to live MORE than 2 million years to get to Andromeda IF you are traveling at the speed of light (which is impossible) I said more 'cause sure you want to take a look at that galaxy when you get there lol.
So theoretically we are not alone, but if you want to know the odds of alien life coming to earth... that is tricky, aliens must be able to live a very, very, very long life AND travel very, very, very fast just to say.

No. The chances of two alien life forms meeting are very slim to nil.
