My hubby lived up there 40 years before I met him. He loved it up there.

I've lived in Alaska since I was a little girl. I'm from a small town called Homer, about 250 miles south-west of Anchorage. Homer has a population of about 3,500 people, and it's accessible by road.
Right now, I live in Alabama due to the fact that it's really difficult to get certain jobs in Alaska, but I'm really hoing to move back someday!
