Strange shape. Surface area (square footage) can vary, greatly. You need to:

1 Draw a scale diagram.

2.Draw a diagnal creating two quadralaterals.

3 For each quad, draw a diagnal then draw two perpendicular lines from each diagnal. You now have four right angled triangles, in each quad.

4.Calculate the area of each triangle using the formula A=1/2 BxH where A is area B is the base and H is the perpendicular height.

5.Sum the areas of the six triangles This will give you the area of the hexagon you had to start with.

Need to see a diagram... even if those sides are all at 90 degree angles we're gonna need more.

Something like this:

_____________________
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
|xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx|_______________
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Best way... divide the space into two squares if they're all 90 degree angles... then find the square footage of the squares and add them together.

one can't help just with these figures maybe the best way is to break the area in squares and work them out separately by multiplying the length by the width then add all the answers together

I love these questions, but alas, you have not provided enough information. You would also need to provide the angles between the sides. At least some of them.

Well, since I have no idea of what the angles are, you are out of luck, if you could give me the angles at each conjunction, or, even better, a diagram, I could probably help you.
