My funniest t.v. sitcom guy was John Ritter of 3's Company & 8 Simple Rules. He was a very talented comedian(as well as an actor of substance.) {He was the son of one of country music most beloved singers-Tex Ritter & actress Dorthy Fay, who appeared together in western movies in those great days of westerns.} We lost John too soon. (Born Seot./11./1948 & died on his 55th b./dy. Sept.11/2003.) You're greatly missed John & I hope you're keeping them laughing wherever U are.
My favorite fwmale comedian(s) is a tie as I loved this show, so it would be hard to choose one. They are Penny Marshall & Cindy Williams of Laverne & Shirley. Penny played Laverene DeFazio & Shirley played Shirley "Shirl " Feeny-Meany. Cindy left the show in 1982 & Ronda Lee replaced her 4 the last season.
This show was the longest running show with females in leading roles till Charmed broke that record in Jan./2006 in it's 8th season.
