The 49ers have the best Super Bowl winning % with 100, but Dallas has been to 3 more big games but their percentage is 62.5%. If the Cowboys weren't America's Team then who would be, I heard a report on ESPN that was talking about teams popularity across the nation and how the Raiders were first on the list. I don't like the Raiders so I guess the Cowboys may as well stick with the title.

I believe the best Super Bowl record belongs to the 49er's back in the 80's and 90's with 5 titles.
Should Dallas still be the the self-proclaimed America's team, No. Personally, I don't think that they ever should have been in the first place. That being said, in their heyday, during the Roger Staubach years, they were a well oiled machine with players that epitomized the word sports hero's; they were never caught doing anything wrong, they were well-behaved in public, etc.
Since Jerry Jones bought the franchise, sadly this is no longer the case as more players have been arrested on drug charges, rape charges, vehicular manslaughter charges, etc. Truly it is a sad thing

While they may not have the best winning percentage in Super Bowl history, they are STILL America's team, and here is why. No matter where they go on the road, the game sells out. I live in Nashville and tried to get tix to the game because I am a Cowboys fan. Guess what......it was the first game to sell out. It sold out before the Ravens game did, which is saying something considering that Steve McNair is the Raven's QB now. The Cowboys are polarizing, you either love them or hate them. That is what makes them America's team. Do you think that people in Arizona are going to sell out the stadium to see the Cardinals play Kansas City? It's doubtful. But they will sell out the Cowboys game, they always do. The Cowboys are to the NFL what the Yankees are to baseball. No other team is loved, and hated, by so many people. You do not see many people who are indifferent about them.

Well, it's a five way tie, with 100%:
San Francisco 49ers, 5-0
Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are all 1-0.
But since the 49ers have won 100% of the games they have been in, and have won a (shared) record of five Super Bowls, I'll give it to them.
