Green Day. Simple Plan is... ok, but they're a bit too whiny for my taste.
I'm not even really into new Punk all that much, but Green Day is the best of the two. If you're interested in real Punk (the classic stuff), try the Sex Pistols.

I hate them both, but since Green Day are a bit more original than simple plan, I'll have to vote for them.

Green Day is classic and have gotten better through the years like a fine wine. Simple Plan is good but they are still at their "juvenile" stage and haven't reall developed their sound or songs as well.

I like Simple Plan better because they have better songs and lyrics. Green Day sings random stuff, while Simple Plan songs actually have meanings in them.
For all you people who think Simple Plan are a bunch of whiners, you should see their second album!
