Careful on those really cheap laptops. My uncle had one that was cheap and not name brand, and that little sucker of a laptop broke down on him. The company didn't even pay for it. A thousand plus dollars: wasted. Don't look at just how cheap it is, look at the quality too.

a "cheap" laptop? do you mean price or quality or both? because a cheap laptop is exactly that- a cheap laptop. spend the extra money for a sony or hp because in the longrun, it will be worth it.

check out the ones that fell of the back of a truck. if you know what i mean. usually you can get them for 50 or 100 bucks. whatever you do don't try to use the warranty later, the police might show up.

You get what you pay but, however, DELL seems to be a reputable company who is always running specials. You can get a lap top for as little as 650 from them.
