Absolutely. Don't listen to the people who have answered above.
The most important thing is to do the casting in a fume cupboard or with a proper respirator. When heated, lead releases fumes that will make you very sick, much like sticking your head over the exhaust pipe of a leaded car.
Try not to handle the lead too much with your bare hands. Follow usual hot metal casting processes... ie. clear area. leather apron. proper hot metal handling equip. chaps. smithing gloves with gauntlets. goggles or preferably full face.
Because lead has been used in so may processes since Roman times, it has a lot of users who follow very poor work practices when using this material. Lead is very poisonous, but is easy to cast and is safe provided the correct safety guidelines are followed.

I presume you mean :
Is Lead toxic or are lead fumes hazardious?
Long term exxposure is quite bad for you. avoid breating the fumes or inhalling any lead dust for darned sure.
For simple projects like stained glass work the danger is small if you use common sense

Wear a smelting mask, make sure others are a safe distance away, and use gloves. Try not to breathe the fumes too much.

Yes, it is harmful but not deadly. If it was mercury you shouldn't touch it with your hands ever!
