The absolute value is 6.8 ..
Unless the formula is ( -1 * |-6.8| ) then it is -6.8
The |x| mean the absolute value of the number inside. so the |-6.8| = 6.8 then times (-), which makes it a -1 x 6.8 = -6.8 ....
depends on how you really ment the question.

Since you asked for the absolute value of -|-6.8| this implies
|-(|-6.8|)| and the answer is 6.8. Another way of looking at it is if someone asks what is the absolute value of something the answer must always be positive. Its kinda like if I asked you what the absolute value of -5 is, even though I don't write |-5| your answer would still be 5.

well... the absolute value of -6.8 is 6.8 and you have a negative sign there which makes the whole thing negative, but you're asking for the absolute value... of the whole thing?... 6.8.
if you just want me to read the equation then it's -6.8. try to be a little more spacific
