Actually there are several school districts around the country that offer very lucrative perks to teachers who will come and teach in their "troubled schools".
You have to agree to work for a period of time, usually four years, and the schools that need the teachers most are over-populated, urban, multi-ethnic and generally low performing.
The other consideration is all states don't accept credentials from just any state. So, if you don't have the proper credential you may have to go back to school yourself for a year or so, in order to meet the requirement.
Research, the State Office of Education for; California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, New York, Florida, and Texas. You can try others also, but I've actually seen articles about teacher programs for those states.
Good Luck!

As a teacher, I am limited on the number of copies I make. All I ever hear is how there is not enough money in the budget for basic teaching necessities. Good luck with that housing and flight thing - it won't happen.
