I agree with you. My grandparents moved here from germany and learned the language as soon as they arrived. You were not even allowed to speak German in their house because they were "Americans"

Every country in the world has an official language. The official language of the United States is English. If people want to come over here and be proud Americans, learn the language.

European immigrants had to learn English because that's the only way they could get a job, find a place to live, etc. But now, there are so many Spanish-speakers in the US that Mexicans and other Spanish-speaking immigrants don't need to learn English. I'm not saying that's good or bad....just the way it is.

First of all, why to you have to categorize immigrants as "Mexicans"? Second of all, stop complaining about immigration, EVERY single person living in the US is either an immigrant or relatives were immigrants. Thirdly, yes people do need to learn English; however, it is not as easy as just learning the language. There are other factors involved. Who is going to watch their children? Most immigrants don't have time to learn the language because they are to busy working for your lazy @$$.
