I would say away from it because I work for a pest control company and it gets really busy after a rain because all the ants have come up from under ground that has been drenched. I still might be wrong though..

ok i'm sorry but i find this stupid... but if it's dry and ants need water they probably move toward it. if it's a rainstorm they will move away. all creatures need water in some form or another (whether it's from the food they eat like fruit or just plain water)
