Every single time I watch ESPN or any other sports broadcasting channel all I hear are stupid comments on how the Portugese dive and argue. They all claim that Portugal's team is full of cheaters and how they persuade the referee. Especially in the game against Germany where one of the German players SHAKES HANDS WITH THE REFEREE WHEN THE REF MAKES A CALL THAT BENEFITS GERMANY. So how may I ask are the Portugese the cheaters?????

Next time, use the spanish channel (if you live in the USA). They know the game in and out and their comments are transmitted to the public with passion. The people on the other channel -ESPN- are bias and worthless. I signed the petition against them and wish you had done the same.

Buy some spectacles for the next time you watch your team - you will See that certain (but not all) players in your team do take dives and argue with decisions. Come on, be sensible, do you really think the commentators are ganging up on the Portuguese team, or perhaps could it be that they are reporting what they see. Why on earth would they choose to pick on Portugal, unless there was a justified reason. I am beginning to realise that diving, etc. must be part of the game in Portugal, and that it is just accepted that players will do this, where as other countries take exception to this and complain about it. When you purchase your spectacles, I suggest you do not get the rose tinted kind.

THE Referees are not suppose to be persuaded by the players..
portugal are one of the best teams in the world
they were ranked 7# although i think they deserved a higher rank
they play very well and won the award of the most entertaining team...
reporters have nothing to do except making stupid comments about countries and players whether they have proof or not..
have you ever read some thing good written by reporters on ANYTHING??no...they only critisize
PORTUGAL will remain one of my fave team 4ever

Well............... after portugal commited a foul on one of the players from the MEX national team and the ref called it a foul, the rest of the game the portugese players kept faking fouls and trying to get the ref to give out a card.

i havent heard any commentators really talking about how they cheat. maybe once or twice but thats it. and ps, the only reasons players shake the refs hand is because theyre thanking them for making the right call. im pretty sure all players do that...even the ones from portugal.
