First, I would consider the fact that he is in jail a wake up call on both of your parts. It would be wrong to leave him now - you resolved to stay with him for better or worse. When he gets out, you had better be there for him - he is going to be in one of those "for worse" situations, and is going to need someone strong and true to help him while he gets his act together.

One of my living heroes is Sen. John S. McCain. He was a POW in a Vietnam torture camp for 2 years. The Viet Cong were willing to release him, because his father and grandfather were famous Admirals. He refused the request unless all the other prisoners were released too. He stayed for another 5 years after that, was tortured, treated inhumanely, and eventually disabled for life. Through it all, his wife stayed with him - and is still with him today.
If you can't be strong enough to be faithful to him during this time of separation - then what kind of strength do you think you are teaching your children? And as for your vow, how would you feel if your husband left you after you had a terrible car accident and were disfigured? Well, that is what his soul is right now. Stay with him, and LOVE him (as in a verb, not a noun), and you won't need to worry about faltering in your faithfulness. Stay with him and you wil truly have a partner for life.

Depends on how long he's in jail and how long you've been married before that. The shorter the marriage, the more difficult it will be to stay with him. The longer the jail time, the more difficult it will be as well. Do consider that he may not be worth your staying with him, especially if you think you'll 'have to cheat' to fill the void, as well as his being a convicted criminal.

Girl, if he can't stay out of trouble than he needs to be by himself . there are plenty fish in the sea. there are men out there that will stay out of trouble and keep you satisfied you just got to look. so let him go get a divorce. So you wont be commiting adultry.

Please forgive me for this, but I would not be with anyone who happens to go to jail. If you insist on staying with him, I can only think of you satisfying yourself.
