When you install the drive in the PC, don't put all 4 screws in the drive when you mount it. Put only 3. That way it has 1 axis to shift on.

Good Luck

You put your cds wrong in it. Make sure that the cds are pushed all the way when you are inserting cds. Always press the button to eject and insert. You probably pushed the drive in to insert a cd and that's probably why it's messing up.

When you insert a CD how are you closing it? Sometimes when you try to push it closed instead of using the button you can push too hard.
