SPider man used to be my favorite. You could relate to him( as Peter Parker) he had the same problems that many people had. That has changed now that Marvel has had him reveal his identity to the public. No more struggling to make a rent payment or having your phone turned off! What Marvel did is a mistake in the long term.

Well, I'm not a Marvel guy ... But I must say that Wolverine is one awesome character! Captain America is a VERY close second.

spiderman. because he is the classic representation of what marvel comics is all about. he's an amazing and interesting character who is firmly grounded in realism. he's easy to connect with because he's no superman. he can't do everything, but he tries to save everybody. of course that doesn't always happen (example: gwen stacy) but he tries.
he also has a colorful and well known gallery of villains. my favorite of course being venom.
all things considered, spiderman is greatest marvel character, and is also the best known.

I always liked most of the X-men characters from Marvel, but Colossus was always my favorite.

but now Marvel Universe has become too complicated for its own good (Onslaught, M series, Civil War). DC is trying to follow suit with this Crisis storyline.
kinda disappointing for those who just wanna read a fun comic...
