I have known this person for over a year and have just know been having feelings for him. i am afraid to tell him because i dont want to get hurt. Plus, i dont know if he has feelings for me. So what should i do.

Tell him...love comes with risks...would you rather take the chance of being rejected in that way, than to never tell him and thus not know how it may have turned out?
If he doesn't share your feelings, you'll still have your friend...sounds like a win/win situation to me...

Thats a tough one cuz I think we all fear rejection at some points in our lives. This rejection would probably hurt you more cuz its your best friend and you've had this strong feeling for them for quite some time now. But I think love is a higher law and above all so if you truly feel love for this person and its not just lust...and you truly feel theres something there then that feeling of love should take over that feeling of rejection and fear of getting hurt...so go for it...love is beautiful...enjoy it while it lasts...umm as for how you should tell him...that shouldnt be too hard if he's your best friend...your relationship should be quite comfortable with him right now to be able to tell him...so just open up with him like you do about everything else

There's always the chance you might get hurt. Just imagine how you'd feel if he said he felt the same way, and take the risk and let him know.

I say you just tell/ask him because if he likes you you'll never know and you might regret it for the rest of your life. Some people even feel more comfortable around their crush after they tell him.

When you feel that the time is right let him know that you cherish your friendship with him and what your about to say should in no way affect that. Then let him know excatly how you feel!
