Although I dislike the politics of both, I prefer John Mellencamp's music.
I remember listening to his song "Human Wheels" driving back and forth to a friend's house.

Wow, that's hard. I love them both. John Mellencamp sings songs that take you back to a particular time in your life, Bruce Springsteen sang feel good music. I'm gonna go out on a limb on this one and choose John Mellencamp.

Definately John Mellencamp. I love him, he is my all-time favorite singer. Though I like Springsteen too, just not as much.
