It could mean that they a are confident enough in themselves to look past the looks of a person.... They are able to choose a partner by personality, and not care what others think.

No, it doesn't mean that. What it means is that the one who chooses the "ugly" partner, looked past what was on the outside and saw something on the inside/personality of the "ugly" person that attracted them. It means they are not shallow.

Hi, have you not heard of the saying beauty is only skin deep. When you are young yes looks are sooooo important, but as you get older, you see that it is the persons personality that is important, how that person deals with life, Do they see life "as tommorow is another day" do they see the glass as half full. Is that person caring. It is these qualities that make the person attractive and beautiful. Looks mean nothing what so ever,

No this does not mean they have a low opinion of themselves. Sometimes an ugly person can be a wonderful person inside. I have dated an unattractive person and I am gorgerous. I wouldnt say somebody is ugly, I would say unattractive.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What appears ugly to you may not be the case for someone else. So then does it mean that because you see uglyness in other people you too may have a complex??

Physical beauty is only skin deep, the real beauty is inside a person, their personality, their character, how they treat others etc. You can meet someone you think is the most beautiful looking person in the world, then realise once you actually get to know them, that they are "ugly" on the inside.

what's the greater sign of insecurity?

choosing to be with a "beautiful" but cruel and selfish person or dating an "ugly" but kind and loving person

from what i have learned....being really ugly has nothing to do with the way a person looks and has everything to do with the way that they treat other people

you'll work it out for yourself eventually i'm sure

What exactly is ugly? or for that matter, good looking?

Lots of schoolboys are plunged into a ferocious bout of self abouse if you just mention the words "Paris" and "Hilton" (BTW, who would name their child after a hotel?) but i wouldnt go anywhere near her.... too artificial.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", as the old trueism goes.

No. It means that they are a better type of person than most & can see past the exterior to the person within.
