Yeah, I like the show alot. In real life though paramedics don't
drive ambulances.

I like the show somewhat. It's nice that there is a show featuring paramedics, which are kind of the unsung heroes. Compared to firefighters or police officers, they just don't get as much public attention.
Unfortunately, a lot of people watch that show, and I'm afraid that they are going to believe that paramedics actually act that way. The only female paramedic on that show is kind of harsh in the way she acts, and that's not the way your average female paramedic acts. It just kind of plays into the stereotype of "butch" women in a "man's" job. The main character has a gambling problem and refuses to wear his uniform. It just doesn't look good for EMS.
Medically, the show makes few mistakes. That's the one thing that it does right. Admittedly, it is a very entertaining show, but I hope no one believes that's the way paramedics actually act.
Also, paramedics do drive the ambulance on occasion, just to be nice to their driver partners, or sometimes two paramedics will be assigned to the same truck and take turns providing patient care and driving.

You like it? I watched one or 2. It showed me that the people are our first line of defense in a medical emergency are underpaid, they have gambling problems and overall are irresponsible losers.

When in reality, most EMS people work for little money, are very responsible and sacrfice family time, holiday time and days off so that the American public can get emergency services.
