That's a really bad idea. Suppose you marry him and he goes to Thailand on business and marries someone else? How would you like that?

Consult a local attorney specializing in family law. It's certainly possible to (try to) marry him without doing, but it will completely screw up the estate if/when one of you dies, if you don't know the implications beforehand.

As you have probably figured out, most of the respondents on here live in the United States of America, where multiple wives is not a culturally accepted practice. In other parts of the world, this may not be as much of a concern.

For obvious common sense reasons, you should, at a minimum, meet the other wife and either get her OK, or ask the guy to get a divorce first.

NO! You can't marry this guy.It is iillegal to marry him because you can't have a llegal marriage and if you will marry without it being illegal if the Philippine wife finds out you Willl be in big trouble. If he really likes you he wil divorce with the other wife and get married with you only, that's called rue love.

Why would you even want to marry a man who by his own admissions is still married? Don't you think that he should close one door before opening another?
And on top of that..........I don't think I could trust a man who was already married and wanted to marry me without making damn sure he was divorced first. That doesn't say awhole lot for his character, or yours for that matter.
And who is to say that he wont do the same thing to you some day if his moral character is that lacking.

And on the legal issue of it.........Im pretty sure that it would be illegal no matter where he got married. If it was a legal marriage.......IT WAS A LEGAL MARRIAGE........no matter where it is.

There's no crime but what you are doing is adultry. You are tearing up a woman's family that has never done anything to you. You need to think about that. Can you live with that for the rest of your life? I have been on the other side of you.

Yes, bigamy serious offence.

If he loves you, truely loves you, wait till the divorce comes through - if he doesnt want a divorce - why would that be?

It doesnt matter if it takes 2,5,10 years for the divorce - love has no time limit, and you should be both prepared to face that - or prepare to spend your married lives with him behind bars.
