The status says "order processed" but it also says (underneath) what the production date is. What does that mean? Thing is that the production date since this morning has consistently been exactly an hour before the time I check it. Is Dell just messing with me?

Production Date means the date they made it or are going to make it, trust me i ordered alot from dell and thats all it means. When you order a pc from dell they make it based on the specs you desired they dont sell already made pc and make you pay a crazy price. You pick your parts they make it. bada boom bada bing.

Order processed means that your order is in the Dell database, and now they can begin putting your machine together. Nothing really means anything until they send you a tracking number. Just make sure someone is there to sign for it, as Dell requires a signature on delivery for their computer orders.

I have ordered through Dell and that just means that it has been proccessed and is in stages of being built and stuff. Usually will take a month and a half or more depending on how many "custom" additions you made. IE RAM, HD, Graphics card, OS, Optical drive...they may have to order the parts.
be patient

Dell = the worst computer on the market. I run a small computer repair business, and I'll bet that at least half of the computers that I repair are "Dells". In my opinion, they are the worst computers offered to the general public. Hope this helps.
