How long did your 1st marriage last? Or long term relationship? I was divorced before my 7th anniversary. I caught the 6 year itch.

My first marriage lasted 2 years.
He was trying to pressure me into having children, thought it was alright for me to help defray his college tuition by working until 2 a.m., so long as I didn't socialize with anyone at work (it was a pizza joint, not the Mafia), and refused to allow me to get a motorcycle.
After 2 years of this nonsense, I got tired of being told what I would and would not do.

My first marriage lasted 20 years. The seven year itch was bad and the 10 year itch was worse. At 15 the marriage was really over but we didn't make it official until 20.

First marriage lasted 9-1/2 years. I knew I had to leave him after 7 years, but he because really ill for 2 years and I just couldn't walk out the door.

I married him in 83, 11 months after I met him. Divorce was final in 2000.

hmmmmm.... my first marriage lasted 6 years. He started to let me down badly... leaving me out of things, seeing friends, going out...ect. Then , after 5 years, he cheated on me. He said he was truly sorry so we stayed together for another year but i found myself looking at him thinking " who is this person?" so i finally left him.
