It sounds like Hendrix guitar it is pretty sick. There's a "back and forth" drum solo too. The drums and guitar are sick. Looking for a name, artist, anything. Heard it on New York's Q104.3 classic rock. No words in the song. Also, the end of the song sounds like a weird electonic noise...

Don't know! Not enough info! But the guitarists who come close to Hendrix in guitar style and sound are Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robin Trower, and Ernie Isley. Maybe Frank Marino of Mahogany Rush did a little. But the above 3 can sound uncannily like Hendrix. If you are a Hendrix fan (or any Hendrix fans reading this) I dare you to get Robin Trower, maybe Twice Removed From Yesterday or Bridge Of Sighs. You won't be disappointed. Preview these at Amazon.com if they are available.

The above mentioned Edgar Winter song is called Frankenstein from his They Only Come Out At Night album. The guitarist is Ronnie Montrose. It could be this song. Try to preview this at Amazon.com.

It almost sounds like you're describing a song by the Edgar Winter Group. Funk 49 I think is the name of it. I'm not sure. I wouldn't say it sounds like Hendrix but from what you described of the back and forth drum solo and electronic noise, it sounds like that. You may want to look up the Edgar Winter group and see.
(I'm sorry the name of the song is Frankenstein. Funk 49 was the James Gang).

I pay attention some guitar insturmentals, yet i don't remember any with violins... i will ask my dad tmrw...he's a classic rock DJ, so he might comprehend what you're speaking approximately!
