I'm 17 and just came out a year ago. I am really shy when I talk to girls and I can never find something to talk about. Any suggestions?

I have one. You see this nice girl in a shop or whatever and don't know how to start. So go up to her and say "excuse me, I really like your ring/hat/shoes/whatever. I know my ex was looking for one just like yours. Could you tell me where you got it from?"
In this case you already admit you are into girls and find a nice subject to talk about. It's also best to act clueless when she starts explaining where you can find the shop. Maybe she will offer to come with you to show you.
Good luck.

That's a good question. I THOUGHT I was straight but I just realized I'm bisexual about 6 months ago and I have a girlfriend. I wish someone would answer that. Usually when I see someone attractive I go up to them and maybe ask basics at first. I usually ask where they're from, age, interests. I compliment them on something I like about them! Sorry I'm not much help but I'm new to this too.

I'm sorry, I haven't got any good conversation starters... however, i've got some that you shouldn't use...

* my mum has that same dress
* wanna see a trick i learned in prison?
* are you drunk, or is that just a lazy eye?
* you think it's impresive now? this coldsoire's just getting started
* Mind if i hang out here til it's safe back where I farted?

I'm sorry, i recently heard those and thought i'd put them in :)

i usually start with something about what they're doing... say, if they're reading a book you like, ask them if they like it... or something like that. i tend to improvise. it depends on the situation.

sorry i couldn't be more helpful.

good luck :) *hugs*

I think it's best to just be yourself. Go up to somebody and say something nice about their out-fit or hair or eyes or whatever you like about them, be truthful. It shows if you really like the ear-rings or you're only saying you like them, difference. Put in something about a movie or actor you like. People have opinions on that and it could start you two talking. I like the "hey girl what's your star sign" but it's got to be done with flare and you have to know something about star signs for it to be cute. Don't worry if you say something silly, people are silly. Laughing at life is a big part of it.

you shy becoz they know you gay or you shy because you like girls? or what?
i dont think you're a shy girl (from what i saw in your myspace) still remember me? :)
in fact you have a courage to come out, i even havent come out yet.
if you wanna try a conversation you could talk something in general like hobby, movie, music.
sorry im not very good for giving you a suggestion cuz im shy too.
