The roots of Rock & Roll are certainly blended and arguments must be made on many fronts about its origins regardless of the very undeniable actuality that i in my opinion imagine it a blend borrowed from many traditions. the numerous impression looks to have come from Rhythm & Blues or perhaps "rocking and rolling" in African American non secular spirituals. As a teenager I undergo in options wondering that even swing, huge band, us of a song impacts ought to correctly be heard in most of the song. My first adventure with 'Rock" replaced into bill Haley and the Comets (a us of a western band) and "Rock around the Clock." Elvis Presley (for white audiences), Little Richard, and Chuck Berry easily popularized it. Alan Freed (if no longer the first to apply the time period) popularized the time period.

Do you mean songs that were covered by other artists or what?

the only one that I can come up with off of the top of my head is the song "I Swear" by John Michael Montgomery. The R&B band All 4 One covered it and had quite a bit of success.
