yes, not that there is any proof, but to me it makes sense. So many people seem to be shaken by this idea...I'm good with it. It seems to cause a lot of doctrine problems for many religions, i.e. celibacy etc.

The New Testament (Brit Hadash) records accurate historical details of Jesus' ministry. If Jesus had been married, the record certainly would have stated so.
Remember - this divine man changed all of recorded history to the extent that for thousands of years we have even recorded time as before and after His death (and resurrection). (BC/AD.)
For example it was not known until about 20 years ago that Pontius Pilate existed until a building cornerstone with his name was uncovered by archaeologists. Other details have since been uncovered such as a burial box that held Jesus' brother James.
Jesus Christ had to focus solely upon His purpose on earth, to sacrifice Himself as a substitute for us, collectively and individually. Mankind's sins required such a sacrifice to balance out eternal equations. Jesus could not have been married.
Jesus was the express "image of the Father" and was "one with the father". This means He could not have been physically united with a woman. Jesus Christ was a flesh suit that covered The God of All The Universe. He loves us so much that He came here to be able to put himself "into our shoes". He was solely dedicated to One Purpose - to sacrifice Himself for us.
The DaVinci Code, although an interesting story, is only that...a story. It is not true. Its cleverly concocted details twist truth, although purported to be based on facts. It is what writers do. It's called "poetic" or "artistic license". But don't be fooled by fiction!
Jesus was not married. Mary Magdelene was one of Jesus' close friends, but not his wife, nor His girlfriend. Jesus was unique in that He treated women NOT as mere possessions, which women were in ancient times, but rather He treated them as individuals. But then, being the exact image of God, representing all the love and compassion of God, He acknowledged that women are human beings, too. That is why Mary Magdelene, among others, were strong supporters of His ministry and part of his "inner circle".

I know He wasn't. If He were the Bible would have said so.
When you consider His reason for coming here in the first place (dying to take our sins away), doesn't it seem a bit unlikely that marriage would have been on the itinerary?
This thing about Jesus being married is someone's idea of a practical joke, designed to destroy people's faith. And I don't find it funny.

No I do not. Jesus is coming back for His bride which is the church (born-again christians). No where in the Holy Bible does it state in any way that Jesus was ever married. He had much more important things to tend to during the time he was here in the flesh. Our salvation.

No, I don't. It would have been counter-intuitive to His mission. Enough people hurt as it was when He was crucified. Imagine the crushing blow that would be to a wife and/or children. And when His family found out He was alive, how would that affect them? He would be bound for Heaven and they would be left to live out their mortal lives. I just don't see Jesus hurting others just for His own selfish motives. If He wouldn't avoid the cross out of unselfishness, why would He be selfish in this area?

Anybody that would believe for a second that Jesus was married deserves to fry in hell! And if he was married the bible would have said it. And I can tell you that there is not one passage that says he was!

He could have been. He could have had kids too. The bible was written by and copied by men remember, and it's over 2000 years old. I'm sure some information has been left out and changed.

If you truly believe the Bible you have to answer no. It doesn't mention it so It can't be true.
The Bible is not Burger King, you can't pick and choose what you want. You either take all of it or none of it.

I see no compelling reason to believe he wasn't as it would have been the norm for a Jewish man of his age and time.
