I am happily married for the last 5 years, but I masturbate sometimes thinking about my past and present girl friends. Is this wrong?

no this isn't wrong but you might ask your spouse to do something a little extra special to help you get over the other girls. like take her to a strip club or something like that

It is wrong, because morally and psychologically, you are supposed to focus your giving and taking sexually on your spouse. When you masturbate, especially with women other than your wife in mind, or when you look at ****, it conditions you to associate getting off with someone or something other than her.

Good sex involves relating to another live, great but humanly imperfect person, not an airbrushed photo or an idealized memory of someone, and adjusting your timing to theirs, both people being fulfilled, and involves emotion and the physical. It may not seem it, but masturbation is worse for people's emotional health and that of their partners than many people realize.

Sex is not just a recreational activity to get orgasms. It's a way to relate intimately with your spouse. It will improve your marriage if you save "orgasm-getting-time" for sharing with your wife, and not purposely having anyone else in your mind.

Perhaps someone neglected to tell you, but the dating and girlfriend thing is supposed to stop once you are married.

You are not truly happily married, something is missing if you have to search elsewhere for what you should be getting at home. WAKE-UP!

Surprisingly no. It is very normal. What I don't understand is you said past & present girl friends. Why do you have girlfriends if you are married?

Yes very wrong. Don't put her through anymore pain. Tell her the truth and give her a divorce so she can find a man that is better than you.

Prolly not the right thing to do to have girlfriends in addition to your wife... But whom you think about while you're masturbating - it's your business, no one else's.

Yes it is. Stop fooling yourself. YOu're being unfaithful.
It's one thinig to think about other past loves/girls, etc. but quite another to have self sex with them.

Would you want your wife doing it thinking about other guys?
