he people that were booing him were mostly english. They booed him because they thought he was responsible for Wayne Rooney's red card, though in my eyes, it was all Rooney's fault.

Because in the game against England,he said to Rooney that he would be given a red card at the beginning of the game.When he saw Rooney put his foot on Ricardo Carvalho,he rushed for about 40 meters to "apply" the red card for Rooney.Rooney said after match that he isn't willing to play with the mean Cristiano Ronaldo any more.
