These babies are orphaned, because my landlord used lethal traps in my house and the parents were killed about 4 days ago. They are small, helpless and blind and my heart just goes out to them. I don't know where the nest is, otherwise I would rescue all of the pups. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I do not think that there is alot you can do sadly.I breed domesticated mice, and they are vaulnerable at that age even when they are still with their mother. The only thing I can suggest is that you go http://www.ratfanclub.org/, there may be a link there but I can't garuntee anything. I know that when you hand raise guinea pigs, you make a formula using powdered milk with only half as much water making it twice as strong, but I don't know if you could even feed baby mice, they are so tiny. And if they have fur, they are probably a little older than a week. Good luck!

They might be too young to save. Call a vet that deals with small animals like gerbils or hamsters. Here is a site that tells how to care for orphaned baby rats (might work for mice).

Also, might check to see if you can get a nursing mother mouse, they tend to take care of babies even when they aren't their own. I think this would be a lot easier than trying to take care of them yourself. You might call a pet store to see if they have any mice that are nursing that they can sell (if the other babies are old enough for mom to leave), or if they will take the babies for the nursing mother mouse to care for. Good luck.

If you have a cat put the babies with her. Maybe they will think it's their mom. At any rate, this should take care of your question.

They should still be small enough to flush down the toilet, that should take care of them.
