There is no cure for herpes- only treatment. Antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time that you take the medication. In addition, daily suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes can reduce transmission to partners.

you can never get rid of herpes. A cold sore is a form of herpes and they have stuff you can buy over the counter for symptoms. You should go to the doctor to be checked for the other kind and be started on medicine if you have the STD.
So are you a prostitute? you meet some guy at a bus station and you sucked him off or had sex? did you think you wouldn't get anything if you didn't use protection.
I wish kids would pay attention in sex ed class instead of acting like they know everything.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?

You can't. You can use ointment and tablets when you have cold sores to keep the infection (reactivation of the virus) under control, but you will never get rid of herpes, unfortunately. It'll be in you for life.

There is not any cure for Herpes. Unless your mom is a doctor specializing in that, you better find out what exactly you do have.

there is no cure for herpes, but what are you doing with a cold sore on your mouth ( Iam being mean or nothing, but did you suck his penis). If so you are nasty cause you just met him at the bus station. If you have a cold sore on your mouth then use carmex that will help alot. GOOD LUCK!!!!

If you buy some dental floss and use several strings of it at once, a tourniquet around the neck should completely cure those nasy herpes.
