Were else can you go surfing & skiing in the same day? In So Cal you can do just about anything, within a 2 hour drive.

It really up to you...I'd say it's better than some states but you have to remember you're still living in the US. Go travel the world and see some other cultures and countries. You can take these experiences and judge for yourself. Good places with cultures very different than you'd be used to are: Canada, UK, Portuagal, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Australia, India, Japan, South Africa, Russia, anywhere in the Middle East (try Dubai) Everywhere you go is of course going to be different. Go to these places and live there for a little while. Don't just tour, actually get involved in the culture - then you can compare with where you live. Don't forget Norway and Sweden, I loved it there.

Although I am bias because I never been to California I would have to say yes and no. Yes you are lucky to live there because it is the most beautiful state in America. But you are unlucky to live in California because of the taxes, liberalism (depending on where you live), cost of living, and your messed up/crooked government. Can't wait to visit though and go hiking in North California

Yes. We have the mountains, valley, desert and coast. California is the best!! We also have Hollywood, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Cruz and so many other major cities.
