The top 10 players in fantasy football are:
1. Shaun Alexander - Alexander is a virtual lock to score at least 20 touchdowns a year with 1500 yards. How many running backs can claim that???
2. Larry Johnson - This guy has scary natural talent. Over the last half of the season, this guy averaged 150 yards a game. Over the course of a whole season, that pans out to be 2400 yards a year. This guy is a true stud.
3. Ladainian Tomlinson - Tomlinson combines rushing and receiving better than any player in the league. In any given year, LT can rush for 1500 yards, get 100 catches and 20 touchdowns. This guy is amazing.
4. Clinton Portis - Portis has a ton of talent. Last year he rushed for 1516 yards and 11 touchdowns. In his first two years, he rushed for over 1500 yards. In his lone "bad" season, he rushed for "only" 1336 yards. This guy is pretty sweet.
5. Tiki Barber - Barber has excellent rushing and receiving skills. He doesn't score quite as much as the guys above him, but he is a great all - around running back.
6. Peyton Manning - Manning is the engineer of the Colts offense. Without Manning, is isn't clear to me if the Colts would be a playoff team, not to mention a Super Bowl contender.
7. Lamont Jordan - This guy scores touchdowns, rushes like a workhorse runner and receives balls from any Raiders quarterback with ease.
8. Rudi Johnson - When are we going to give this guy some credit? He rushes for over 1400 yards for two straight seasons with over 10 touchdowns, yet he is considered an afterthought. Let's give this guy some credit.
9. Steve Smith - Smith is fast and quick and he scores, too. Last year, he had 1563 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is the best receiver in the league.
10. Antonio Gates - This guy is the most talented tight end in the league. How many tight ends in history can claim that they had over 1000 receiving yards with at least 10 touchdowns?
