On http://www.box.net/ you can upload stuffs upto 1GB by signing up for a free account.
So in case if you want to share more than 1GB then just split your files using some file splitters and create some more free accounts on http://www.box.net/ and chillout.

www.yousendit.com allows you to send files of up to 1GB, and you can upgrade to a paid account (starting at $4.99 a month) to be able to send files as large as 2 GB.
