I normally don't pray out loud, but I would at that time and be sure they could hear me praying for God to cure their nosiness.

I'd be OK with it but a feeling of being intruded on a little bit. It happened to me recently as I was talking to the sky like I was talking to g-d "asking if I get to be 17 again on the otherside" in what I thought was an isolated corner of the park. This women looked at me real weird but couldn't have heard what I was saying I don't think. She looked more embarrassed then me.

your prayers are declarations to all that is. no entity is capable of violating your privacy in this regard because the energy of a prayer is more complicated than you may have ever imagined, for it contains whether or not you're okay with having people know too much about that declaration. My advice is simply this: do not waste vocal utterence on your highest prayers, and if you do, save them for a moment in a friendly conversation, or if you're just not giving a hoot about who in heaven hears it, there is certainly no harm in knowing what you desire--- self creation

i think it just comes down to curiosity. considering there are now so many religions out there maybe the eves dropper is confused about what they believe and is trying to decide if praying is right for them.
or on the other hand maybe they are just nosey!

Prayers are personal and only meant to be between you and Jehovah God. It would be wrong for someone to do that.
