Someone doesn't wake up one morning and decide that today is the day they're going to make their choice to become gay.
It's something that has always been there and at the right time you finally peice together those thoughts and feelings. We are all taught by society that there are certain things that are right and wrong, so for a time there is denial and that need to be the same as everyone else. Every gay and lesbian I know has had more serious relationships with members of the opposite sex than I have. One main reason is to prove that they aren't really gay, when all the time inside they were unhappy until they told everyone.
Oh, and grow up.

I made the choice to be gay at the same time that you chose to be born! The dues are high, as we LGBT members have to pay for our "choice" time and again through ridicule and ignorance of others. The hazing is done by and through fear of those who are not gay, and do not understand our lifestyle. It is not a club, but a family network, made up of people who want to love, and live, without fear of harm from others who choose to treat us as outcasts. Does this answer your question?

It isn't a choice , its predetermined at birth . Do you honestly believe that anyone given the choice would choose the life that gay men and women have to live ? You would have to have a screw loose to want this life . It is hard to be gay and you have many obstacles to over come . I am over 40 and I have been fighting all my life so the younger generation can enjoy the few freedoms that they have now . So believe me no one would choose to be gay if they actually had a choice . The age I realized for sure I was gay was 12 .

Well In this life I have not done gay/homosexual stuff in the standing physical sense....in "alternate paths" I somehow was linked up with gay situations, don't ask me what the hell happened, I think it was a VIRUS or BACTERIA or something(chem).... I hope anybody who is "gay" and wants to be "back-straight" can be back straight...however at the end of the day like the "southern rep who was in vt" said, what they do behind closed doors ~ as long as they are not infringing on others, well that is their freedom of CHOICE, I support the free-will in that sense....but for me as a man in this life I do find it kind of GROSS for me to engage in such.... so as to say. I enjoy the beautiful WOMAN, this is one view I had prior to waking to veganism, which I still hold today as a VEGAN.

i made the choice a few days ago. the whole "straight" thing was getting boring, so i went queer!
the dues are surprisingly cheap, especially considering the fact that i get to have sex with other guys. and hazing's minimal.
if you'd like to join, too, go ask a member of your local clergy how it's done. they all know, apparently.
[i appreciate your sarcasm.]

I was always gay, I knew when I was 8 that I felt differently about the other boys than I did about the girls. I figured out it was sexual at 11, had my first boyfriend at 13 and came out at 14.
There are no dues, other than trying to care for others and being supportive and nurturing if you are like I am. Usage for other gays may vary.
Have a nice day.

I love the choice questions, as if it is a choice. But the guys that do make the voluntary choice cuz their woman drives them to madness-I believe you get paddled 50 times and then you have to humiliate yourself with nude photos on the Internet and the dues by I hear they are very high, but if you get a career in interior design, its a free membership.

When did you make the choice to be (assumedly) straight?
And, judging from your screen name, when did you make the choice to be a bigoted, discriminatory hate-mongering homophobe?
Why not try justice, equality, tolerance, and peace for a change? WWJD?

2. I wouldn't exactly call it hazing...
3. You can't affort it and it's invitation only.
Trust me, you're not invited, fish breath.
