They probably figured that the only reason they're still alive is because of a higher power.... so they better start being respectful.... good for them I guess.

I think that its pretty cool because both had everything, both felt that something was missing or needed to change, and both found that Jesus was the missing thing that they needed

If they are happy with it and it makes them a better person, then good for them. If it turns them into a hypocritical babbling moron, then not so good for them.
