From a pitch perspective, A sharp is the same as B flat, however from a musical notation perspective they are not.

For pitch, B sharp is the same as C, not C flat, since the interval from B to C is only a half step.

A sharp is the same as B flat, but there is no B sharp or C flat. In music terms B sharp and C flat does not exist.

Yes, as far as I know. I play clarinet and I have always considered A sharp to be another way of saying B flat, G sharp = A flat, G flat = F sharp, etc.

A# is the same as Bb, but a B# is the same as a Cnatural. A Cb is the same as a Bnatural. So I guess reasoning makes Cb and B# the same, but musical people don't usually refer to it like that.

So the first one is correct, but it depends who you are talking to on the second one.

Joe Rockhead is right.

It depends on what instrument you are playing, in some cases it could be true and some it can't be true. Look at the time signature on the peice of music and then you will know.

A" is the same as Bb. They're named differently depending on which scale you play. There is no B", it's C as there is no Cb, it's B.
