If you don't have a set up then go buy a cheap one or used one and just start practicing.... try imitating DJ's you admire. Then start with small parties, then bigger ones then maybe some local club gigs and then on to bigger venues (raves,etc.)..... just keep working at it man..... you'll get there. If you want work then you have to get your name out there.... put it on your vehicle so people see while you drive around town and do a lot of local parties and talk to local DJ's too..... networking. start hanging out at record stores. sometimes indie labels have clothing/music shops, so stop by there. go to events and socialize with knowledgable people.... but whatever you do, dont do it for the money. theres enough people like that involved with music these days.
