yes, but if the teacher would like the child to be held back it is usually taken in front of the board/principal and they will decide. HOWEVER the parent can over rule that and the child will pass, in fact.. they can pass up to 8th grade, then the teacher/principal/board decides

I don't know. Do you mean in spite of whatever grades the child may have received? Is the child borderline - like half C's and D's? Maybe check out the link below and call their main number to find out. I haven't worked in the Granite district before, only Jordan.
