question on e.d. -anorexic?

how can they loose so much weight when its said that if you eat less your body goes into starvation mode and wouldnt they look fat any ways because after loosing all the weight they wouldnt have anything to fill in the lack of fat there for being flabby or hanging ? also is it possible to relaps? -worried about someone so please answer thank you

during starvation fat gets burnt for energy
muscles deplete as nutrition is not being delivered
If you were originallt very fat, yes skin will hang till gradually retracts which may take time in months

When a person's body goes into starvation mode they would have to eat for the body to turn it into fat, people with anorexia do not eat at all for the most part so instead of starving after a while the body begins to use the stored fat, and no they don't always appear flabby. As with any disorder it is possible to relapse.Anorexia isn't only about food, it's about self image, this person your worried about needs an image check, people never see what others see, usually they think the worst of them selves! Lot's of encouragement helps a person with Anorexia! Good luck!

anorexia is more of a mental illness than an eating disorder. u see, the person that is anorexic sees themsevles as fat, and they dont eat anything, they over exsersize, and they obsess about their weight. as humans we all have fat storages and we use those fat storages from lack of food. so is you start to starve yourself, your body uses those fat storages until theyre gone, and you eventually die from starvation. so if u know anyone that is anorexic, then they need to go see a therapist, and u need to make sure they eat 3 square meals a day, and make sure they dont throw it up after theyre done eating (meaning keep an eye on them when they go to the bathroom, dont watch them, just stand at the door and make sure they arent throwing up)
