I just spoke with AOL on a bill I just got, saying I owed 23.90 for service I never incurred , I had a trial with them that I cancelled before 30 days and they said that I had them when i had SBC Yahoo. Said it was like 4 years ago... He said he couldnt give me proof, I said fine you will be turned into the FCC.

and type in AOL or America Online. Prepare to be amazed.

File a report with the Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org/

Then file your complaint with your state's Attorney General's Office. The more places that you file, the better. You might not even have to go through the hassle of suing them. But you probably will find other class action suits against them along the way.

They have to be able to show proof of service, or they can't ask for money.

Demand proof of service. If he can't provide it, demand they remove the debt from their records.

AOL are pretty slimy as has been shown with the audio that went around the net of the guy trying to cancel. They did the same thing to my wife when we tried to cancel my mother in laws service.
