Your theraflu most likely had tylenol in it which is an effective fever reducer. But if you wanted to take something else you could alternate ibuprofen with a tylenol product every 2-3 hours. Usually this is not necessary though and some experts believe you shouldn't even treat a fever unless it goes over 102-102.5. One additional note: after reading some of the answers I feel obliged to put in a vote AGAINST airborne. It's mostly a multivitamin and controversal AT BEST whether its effects are anything more than psychosomatic, but in any case IT WILL NOT TREAT A FEVER. It is solely used to help prevent illness. My personal and professional opinion is its crap

Unfortunately, not really...preventing a fever is really difficult, nearly impossible! But, you can do things to keep it from staying too long. Here's what I got: REST! A lot! That means no pushing yourself too hard and doing things that can wait a little while until you feel more up to it. Tylenol is really good as a reinforcement while body is fighting off the infection or whatever is going on...better to have a fever and let your body fight then to get REALLY sick, you know? Good luck and I really hope you feel better soon!

A fever is nature's way of fighting off a virus you probably have. Give it a chance to work - rest, drink plenty of fluids, and stay home. If your fever gets very high and your head or neck hurts, or it lasts more than three days, you should your doctor.

wait at least 6 hours after taking Theraflu before you take anything else.

Tylenol has a Fever reducing medicine as its main drug ingredient.

See a doctor if your that concerned. A fever is suposed to be a good thing because it means your body is trying to fight off the sickness.

If you are scared enough to ask on Yahoo answers, maybe you should see a doctor. Sure, it could be expensive, but the biology of the human body has a vast amount of nuances to it - you never know how close you could get to being seriously ill. See a doctor!
