Does anyone know how you offer an e-book on EBay so the buyer can pay and recieve the book instantly?

I see this all the time, it's a "buy it now" and you are given an instant download after paying through PayPal.

The books are often protected from copying, forwarding, even printing.

They even have a virtual cover, how do they do that? Thanks for any help you can offer!

I wrote the book and copyrighted it already, so it's not a matter of pirating....

The book is usually formated using a PDF program .... details on these below. In PDF format you can set many preferences, including not being able to print, save, etc.

Then paypal is used for the transaction, and the book is downloaded from a password secured website or emailed if it is small enough.

Adobe Acrobat is best, buts its spendy .....

However, you can find freeware and shareware programs to create PDF files (which is what you need).

You have to have resell rights on it in order to sell them. If you don't the company will find out. I tried selling a bunch of ebooks on ebay that were published by Wiley. They shut down my auctions and I got a nasty "we're going to sue" letter unless I signed a paper saying I would never try to sell them again and would give them any profit I made off them.
