my brother recently attended a law school summer course and it was mostly black people. they all organized a big petition to call the cafeteria workers racist because they wouldnt let them take their bags into the cafeteria but 5 min before they let some 40 yr old businessmen take theirs in.

they didnt realize that the cafeteria doesnt let ANY student take their bags in because students will put food in their bags, but visiting businessmen arent going to do that.

they were so quick to cry foul and call it racism. black people - stop whining so much.

WELL I DON'T CRY RACISM ABOUT EVERYTHING.
SEE THE PROBLEM IS YOU ARE GENERALIZING.
IF YOU WANT TO END RACISM AND STEREOTYPES,STOP PUTTING ALL BLACK PEOPLE IN ONE CATEGORY.

IS IT RIGHT 4 ME TO SAY"ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE RACIST"?
NO.
SO STOP GENERALIZING.
PEOPLE THAT GENERALIZE ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

AND UNFORTUNATELY SOME(REMEMBER)SOME USE THE WORD TOO OFTEN AND THAT MAKES IT BAD FOR A BLACK PERSON WHO REALLY HAD SOMETHING BAD DONE TO THEM.
BUT I DON'T WHINE ABOUT ANYTHING AND REMEMBER,DON'T GENERALIZE!!!!

Before I say anything else, I would like to say that it is impressive to know that a law school summer course was primarily black. That alone dispels many of the stereotypes and typecasting that you see on this site and other places. Well here is the thing. I have lived thirty years and in that thirty years I have been fortunate enough to meet different people. Personally, I always thought that it was something admirable to see any group stand up for thier beliefs no matter if my opinion says that it is right or wrong. I know that I will not agree with everything. That is my choice. I know also that someone that exhibits concern by any type of protest is not whining by any means. To say that a business man will not take anything...I tell you, I have seen some of the most shrewdest businessman robbing a store blind. I feel that they are right to say that no one should be allowed to bring anything into the cafeteria. Even if it was just students to be singled out, that is wrong. No body should feel that because who they are that they are singled out whether they are a student or not.

don't generalize and say black people because when u say that you are implying that we're all the same, which in itself is racist. Just like you would get mad if i said white people are insensitive and naive and judge situations that they know nothing about. Now if you said "some" black people, then maybe people wouldn't get so angry. Anyway, to respond to your question which i dont think was a question, I don't think the black students should have made it a race issue, but they should've made it a student issue if the white students were being treated the same way. But honestly I don't think that was the case, or else they wouldn't have taken it that far. I'm sure some white students got in with their bags for whatever reason, and thats what made the black students so angry.

True and not true, My Mom did the same sht at a pizza place in the mall because she went in a got some old pizza then about 5 mins later a new one happend to be coming out of the oven when some white people walked in, she proceeded to flip out. Im like you would have been pissed if he would have gave you raw pizza and anyway what r they supposed to do throw out pizza every 10 minutes because its not tip top fresh, But there are situations where something like that can be racism, and not every black person is so quick to jump the gun, alot of those people that are quick to jump the gun grew up 25 to 40 years ago when someone would tell you to your face "you got the old pizza cause your black" and they wouldnt use those nice words to say it. So yes i see a reason for these people to be quick to jump the gun BUT theres a bigger reason to wait and see the whole situation now-a-days because just like not every black person jumps the gun, not every white person is racist or intentionally mistreated you on the sole fact that your black.

They might have to consider the business man got to bring a bag in. They don't think a visitor won't bag food from the cafe as well as students?
They should have asked for a proper explanation before screaming racism. That sounds like a stupid rule since the students are paying for the food by begin enrolled in the school.

That Is not necessarily true...I mean I know what you mean because my sister is like that. But you can't just go stereotyping all black people because we are not all like that. And then you also have to understand that we come from a long line of genetics where back then everything was pretty much racist. Hope this answer helps!

I just think it's wrong when black people feel they have the right to call white people "crackers", "whitey", etc. but when some one says anything with the word "black" in it, they call it racism.

That makes me SICK. I can't STAND people like that.
